Bootclaw joins the Made in Britain Campaign
The Made in Britain campaign supports & promotes British manufacturing, enabling buyers and consumers at home and abroad to identify British-made products.
With all our manufacturing taking place in Oxfordshire - we'll be proudly displaying the Made in Britain logo on all our products.
What a tool!
Here it is! This 2ft cubed hunk of steel is the Bootclaw moulding tool. Time to start testing!
We're off to see it in person on Thursday next week and we'll also (hopefully) be signing off the black and neon yellow Nylon samples it's produced. Can't wait to see those!

It's here!
The tool has arrived at our manufacturer in Oxfordshire two days ahead of schedule - and it weighs a ton! Well - 177Kg to be exact. But wow - that's three of me!
Hoping to be visiting Dataplastics some time next week to see it in action - so will post photos soon.

Running shoes get muddy too...
Not just for rugby and footie boots - works a treat clearing out the treads in your trainers after a run...
Our inspiration....
Here they are - Vice Captain and Captain of the Wimbledon College U13A rugby squad. Cameron (left) and Luca (right) are the boys who inspired us to design the Bootclaw. They're usually much muddier than this I should point out.

It's a great big lump of metal and it's winging its way to our manufacturers in Oxfordshire! I for one can't wait to head up there and see it in action! I'll make sure I get an awesome selfie with it - watch this space....
The colour votes are in...
First ever moulded samples have arrived!
They have arrived - and they are beautiful! (well, dodgy Man City blue sample colour aside). We've tested both types of stud-key and they work perfectly - phew. So here's what happens next. We give the go-ahead for the tooling to be shipped from China - this takes about 2 weeks. The tool arrives at our manufacturer in the UK and we run a few more tests. In the meantime we decide on our two colours and order the material in those pantone colours (spoiler alert - neon yellow is running away with it so far, closely followed by black). So, all being well, we'll be ready to start production at the end of the month with view to shipping to our backers in early February! Wow - pinch me someone!
